Payment
Payments must be made using one of the following credit cards: Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover. We cannot accept payment by check or money order.

Registration fees will help defray the costs of event logistics, including meals for festival participants and some transportation and security costs.

Refund Policy
Registrants who are “no-shows” for an event, or cancel a registration less than three full weeks before the CHAT Festival (January 26, 2010), will not qualify for a refund. Prior to January 26, 2010, festival registrants can request a refund for registration fees. The Institute will refund the amount of the registration fee, less a $5.00 processing fee. The $5.00 fee covers charges associated with processing both your registration fee and refund.

In the unlikely event that the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill closes for the duration of the festival, all registrants will receive a refund for the full registration amount. Refunds will not be given if the University closes for fewer than three days during the festival. If the University is operating on a delayed schedule, festival events will continue as scheduled once the University resumes normal operations. For the latest updates on the status of the University's operations, visit the Alert Carolina Web site. If the Alert Carolina Web site shows a modified operating schedule, visit www.chatfestival2010.com for additional information.

Personal illness, inclement weather that does not close the University, or poor travel conditions are not cause for cancellation or refund.

For questions regarding this refund policy, please contact: Jeanine Simmons, 919-843-5464 or jeanine.simmons@unc.edu.
