Festival participants who have already registered are invited to park for free on the UNC campus in the S-11 Lot, located off of Skipper Bowles Drive. To access this lot, the parking attendant will need to see either your printed CHAT festival registration confirmation or your festival badge. You will be given a parking pass at that time to display on your dashboard. Without proper documentation, you are not permitted to park in that lot.

Directions to the S-11 Manning Lot:

From Raleigh and points east:
Take I-40 west to exit 273A for NC-54 toward Chapel Hill. From NC-54, exit onto US-15/US-501 South (Fordham Boulevard) toward UNC Hospitals. Turn right onto Manning Drive. Turn left onto Skipper Bowles Drive. The S-11 Manning parking lot will be on your left.

From Asheville, Greensboro and points west:
Take I-40 East to exit 273 and turn right onto NC-54 toward Chapel Hill. From NC-54, exit onto US-15/US-501 South (Fordham Boulevard) toward UNC Hospitals. Turn right onto Manning Drive. Turn left onto Skipper Bowles Drive. The S-11 Manning parking lot will be on your left.

Parking in Chapel Hill is limited, and the S-11 lot is first-come, first-served, so we encourage festival participants to carpool and take advantage of Chapel Hill's great public transit system.

Shuttle Buses
Chapel Hill Transit provides two shuttle routes around the UNC-Chapel Hill campus that stop at or near all festival venues (the RU route and U route).

The Chapel Hill Transit shuttle is free and open to the general public and will transport festival attendees to and from the designated public parking areas at UNC-Chapel Hill and the festival.

Note: Guests at the Siena Hotel will have access to a hotel shuttle that transports guests to and from the festival headquarters in the Campus Y and the hotel. This service is reserved exclusively for hotel guests.

UNC-Chapel Hill General Parking
If you have not yet registered for the festival, limited visitor parking is available at The Visitors' Center in the Morehead Planetarium parking lot. Visitors may also park in the pay lots and metered spaces listed below. Rates are $1.50 per hour.

Metered parking spaces are available at the following locations:

• Morehead Planetarium
• South Road
• Raleigh Street
• Student Union
• Country Club Road
• Ridge Road

The metered spaces on campus and in town are usually limited to one or two hours and are monitored closely by parking officials.

Town of Chapel Hill Parking Lots
Lots are open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday.

• at the corner of North Columbia and Rosemary Streets
• at the corner of Church and West Rosemary Streets
• at 150 East Rosemary Street
• at 415 West Franklin Street

Metered parking spaces are available on Franklin Street (one-hour maximum) and on Rosemary, Henderson and Columbia Streets (two-hour maximum).
